Zanzibar

Zanzibar Island is an ideal place for a dreamed vacation. In Zanzibar you can explore the historical Stone Town, the Sultans of Zanzibar palace, the House of Wonders and the Slave Trade market and an exciting guided spice tour. You will also enjoy swimming with dolphins on the southern part of the island, visit Prison Island, and see the giant tortoises and coconut crabs. There are more than 25 fantastic beaches in Zanzibar, and most of them are so peaceful and remote that the only noise breaking the silence is likely to be the ocean. If you have enough time and seek true privacy or excellent diving, then you should visit Pemba Island to the North.

Pemba

This island is seldom visited and one of the most laid-back places you will find in East Africa. In addition to its attractive, hilly terrain, the island offers some beautiful beaches and offshore islands, a fascinating, largely undiscovered culture and some of the best diving in the world.

Dar es Salaam

The islands of Bangoyo, Mbudya, Pangavini and Fungu Yasini of the coast of Dar es Salaam are popular for diving and snorkeling, especially Bongoyo and Mbudya. Bongoyo has a nice beach, some short walking trails, and makes a pleasant day excursion. Mbudya Island, about 4km north of Bongoyo, is best in swimming and snorkeling.

The beaches about 25km north of Dar es Salaam and east of the Bagamoyo road are lined with resorts and are popular weekend getaways for Dar’s residents.

The coastline south of Dar es Salaam is attractive as it makes a pleasant alternative to the more crowded northern beaches. Windsurfing, snorkeling and sailing can be arranged.
